DAVID: A KING’S CALLING

David: A King’s Calling is an epic take on the person of David from the Old Testament. Davi’ds journey towards destroying the philistine champion Goliath is only one part of this very important and multidimensional character. This project centers on the events that create the warrior-worshiper we all know, while also providing a context that sheds light on the personality and character-creation of one of the most renowned figures in all of the Bible. This project will be a culturally accurate spectacle that combines complex, interwoven themes involving family, friendship, self-doubts, love, military, fear, and what it means to honor God when things don’t happen like we expect or hope.
